I just attended the "8th Sabah International Folklore Festival 2013" (SIFF 2013) welcoming dinner held in Promenade Hotel together with the other Lembaga Kebudayaan Negeri Sabah (LKNS) singers. This is the 2nd year I was invited to witness and celebrate this great event. That was awesome!
Not many people aware or know about this event, just like me before, until LKNS choose me to be the main singer/character for SIFF theme song last year. SIFF is about cultural song and music performance by the various ethnic of the world where they promote peace through culture. (Please refer to sabah cultural board for more info)
As per my observation, participant of country this year is not as many as previous years. There are Korea, Japan, Sri Lanka and also our neighbour, Sarawak. Last year I remember there are lots of participants including Arab, Indonesia, China, Kuwait, Scotland and few more. But, I still hope SIFF 2013 will be as grand as last year! Good Luck to everyone.
